The actors’ text interaction was made public in Baldoni’s $400 million defamation countersuit against Lively amid the ongoing legal fight between the 41-year-old Baldoni and the 37-year-old Lively, in which Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment while directing the 2024 blockbuster, a claim he has denied.

The costars talked about Lively’s purported modifications to the rooftop sequence in the romantic drama in their text chats. According to reports, Lively told Baldoni that she was unhappy with his first reaction to her alterations and that her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and a close friend—later identified as Taylor Swift—praised them.

Lively is informed by Baldoni that he “really love(d) what (she) did” and that her modifications “[made] it so much more fun and interesting.”
According to recordings that Daily Mail was able to secure on January 27, Baldoni allegedly left Lively a voicemail in which he addressed her script recommendations. An apology opened the approximately seven-minute audio.
