The singer exclaimed, “Let’s give her a round of applause,” as she noticed that the winner, Adele, was following the 2024 Olympics—even as she was singing!

The 36-year-old singer of “Easy on Me” interrupted her performance on Saturday, August 3, in Munich to watch the women’s 100-meter final that was happening in Paris.

A video that has been circulating on social media claims that Adele interrupted her program to wish the athletes luck in winning the gold and to provide some words of support.

The singer is seen turning her back on the crowd and making her way toward the rear of the stage in the video. The track race was shown on the jumbotron instead of her motions being projected by the camera.

The Olympic commentator in the film declared that Sha’Carri Richardson of Team USA finished just behind Julien Alfred of Saint Lucia, who took first place with a score of 10.72.

When Adele saw who had won, she said to the crowd, “Let’s give her a round of applause!” “Let’s get on with the show,” she continued. Wonderful, St. Lucia.” A different video, taken from a performance the previous evening,

features the 16-time Grammy winner discussing her Olympic viewing. Observing elite athletes, I would comment, “Well, that landing was a little shaky, wasn’t it? Yes, she didn’t have very straight legs. I would be dead if I attempted anything they did in the interim.
