In Southern California, World Central Kitchen is collaborating with eateries and food trucks to provide meals to families and first responders.

Jennifer Garner is helping out amid the Los Angeles wildfires. On Friday, January 10, the 13 Going on 30 alum was pictured in Los Angeles while volunteering with World Central Kitchen.According to a World Central Kitchen spokeswoman who spoke to PEOPLE,
Garner, 52, is assisting the team in delivering meals from nearby eateries and food truck partners to first responders and families impacted by the current fires. The actress is seen in the pictures exiting a WCK van while carrying a duffel bag bearing the World Central Kitchen logo.

Since the flames started on Tuesday, January 7, WCK, the charity organization of celebrity chef José Andrés that has been delivering food aid during global emergencies since 2010, has come together around Southern California to feed affected populations.
In a video shared on her Instagram Friday afternoon, Katie Couric discussed their work with Garner and Andrés.

“Well, first of all zero percent of it is about me because I have my home and I am safe,” she said. “I don’t speak for those who have experienced this. However, it’s evidently quite devastating to watch. To be honest, Katie, I believe that everyone is in shock. I simply believe that we haven’t even been hit yet.”
