In the Wicked credits, Ariana Grande uses her own name

Viewers will notice that Ariana Grande, who plays Glinda the Good Witch in the upcoming Wicked movie, is given credit for her own name in the closing credits.

According to Ariana Grande, she is not that girl.

Because she isn’t using her stage name, that’s what audiences will notice, at least, when they see her name in the closing credits of the next Wicked movie.

According to E! News, the singer of “One Last Time” is given credit for the movie under her full name, Ariana Grande-Butera, with Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Bowen Yang, and others.

Her real name combines the last names of her father, Edward Butera, and mother, Joan Grande.

Similarly, even though his real name was Frank James Michael Grande Marchione, Ari’s half-brother Frankie Grande, who is the son of their mother Joan and his father Victor Marchione, has professionally abbreviated his name.

However, there will be other notable changes in the movie besides Ariana’s name appearing in the closing credits.

Ari defended this artistic decision from critics earlier this year, and viewers may notice that her voice is higher pitched for her role as Glinda the Good Witch than it is for her normal voice.

She said in an interview with Vanity Fair in September that “there is a part of the world that isn’t familiar with what it takes to transform your voice, whether it’s singing or taking on a different dialect for a role or doing a character voice for something.”
