“I can’t really imagine a reason for continuing in an institution that just doesn’t appreciate my trade longer,” the 4-tAcademy award audio mixer said the Academy requested him to postpone his resignation till after Oscars.

Kurland tells The Hollywood Insider, “I can’t envision a reason for sticking in an institution that no longer respects my profession.”

“I attempted to quit today, but got an email requesting me to wait till next week.”
