The producer of Aquaman verifies a persistent allegation regarding Amber Heard and Jason Momoa
A long-running rumor between Amber Heard and Jason Momoa has been verified by an Aquaman producer.
The Aquaman movies have been the subject of much back and forth ever since Heard became involved in a well-publicized legal dispute with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.
Everything began in 2018 when Heard, 38, claimed to have been the victim of domestic abuse in an opinion piece published in The Washington Post.
Although she did not mention Depp, 60, by name in the article, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor sued his ex-wife for defamation.
Heard was first ordered to pay Depp more than $10 million in damages after the jury found in Depp’s favor; but, because of state restrictions, the total amount she owed Depp was reduced.
Meanwhile, Heard filed a countersuit against Depp, charging him of defamation after his attorney, Adam Waldman, referred to her abuse claims as a “hoax.”
As a result, Depp was forced to pay Heard $2 million. Heard originally attempted to appeal the decision, but she gave up.
She then took to Instagram to justify her decision, saying that it allowed her to move on from the situation and go on with her life.
