Vienna Swarovski gave away free necklaces to Taylor Swift fans

Swift postponed her August 8–10 performances. Many Taylor Swift fans in the Austrian capital nevertheless made the decision to come together to support one another and explore Vienna even after the singer postponed her three Vienna Eras Tour shows this week owing to an alleged terror threat. In light of the postponed gigs, the Vienna Tourist Board has been posting on Instagram about all the things fans can do in the city, including a variety of free events or special admission rates for Swifties. Fans were invited, among other things, to the Kristallwelten Swarovski store for a “crystal surprise.”

Fans were able to claim the unique gift, which included a necklace from the brand with a range of various crystal charms packed inside a bag, by presenting their ticket for one of the canceled events, as several fans demonstrated on TikTok and X (previously Twitter). The store did run out of the necklaces, but the Vienna Tourist Board stated on August 9 that “due to overwhelming demand,” customers were still encouraged to visit for a special price. Other parts of the city provided free or heavily cheap cuisine, free museum admission, or fan-only themed attractions. Fans convened on the streets on August 8th for an unplanned performance and dance party, during which they exchanged friendship bracelets, performed Swift’s songs.
