After more than three years of dating, Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler called it quits

Rumors of a romance between the duo first surfaced in December 2021.

Austin Butler and Kaia Gerber are no longer together. According to a source who spoke to PEOPLE, the 23-year-old model and the 33-year-old Oscar-nominated actor are splitting up more than three years after making their romance public in March 2022.

The couple broke up toward the end of 2024, according to TMZ, which broke the news first. Additionally, the publication pointed out that the Elvis star missed the Gerber family’s most recent trip to Mexico.

Requests for response from Gerber and Butler’s representatives have not been answered.When they went to a yoga class together in Los Angeles in December 2021, the couple initially aroused romance suspicions.

Three months later, in March 2022, they made their red carpet debut at W Magazine’s annual Best Performances celebration, after being spotted together many times.

That May, Gerber and Butler went to the 2022 Met Gala together. When they arrived to the top of the Metropolitan Museum of Art staircase, they shared a kiss and had a romantic moment despite walking the carpet separately.

During the 2022–2023 awards season, Gerber stood behind Butler, who received multiple prizes for his portrayal in Elvis. The couple attended the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty after Butler’s Best Actor nomination ceremony and were spotted sharing a kiss at the Golden Globes.
