After moving abroad, Richard Gere and his wife Alejandra smile while out together in Spain
The couple recently moved to the European nation, and they have two sons: Alexander, age five, and James, age four.
Alejandra and Richard Gere are settling into their new home base.
Following the 75-year-old actor’s announcement that they had moved to his wife’s native Spain in order to be nearer to her family, the couple was seen out and about in Madrid on Sunday, December 1.
In the smiling pictures, Gere and Alejandra (née Silva), 41, were both wearing warm outfits. The Agency star wore jeans and a blue shirt underneath a brown jacket, while his wife wore a cream turtleneck underneath a matching long coat.
In April 2018, Gere and Alejandra tied the knot in a private ceremony. James and Alexander, their boys, are their children.
In addition, Gere is the father of his 24-year-old son Homer, whom he shares with his ex-wife Carey Lowell, and the stepfather of his wife’s 11-year-old son Albert from a previous marriage.
Gere discussed why he chose to go to Spain and disclosed that their family would be spending Thanksgiving in Spain on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on November 20.
“My wife is Spanish and she gave me about seven years here, so we’re going to spend some years in Madrid with her family,” he stated. “Our kids are bilingual, so they’re going to flourish there.”
The Pretty Woman star went on to express his hope that he and his spouse will become comfortable in their new residence.
