The 28-year-old model and Rhode founder “liked” Gomez’s Instagram post on Wednesday, December 11, which announced her engagement to music producer Benny Blanco.
The 32-year-old Emilia Pérez star posted a close-up of her marquise diamond ring and a picture of herself and Blanco, 36, cuddling together with the remark, “forever begins now..” in the photo carousel. She also posted a picture of the proposal location, which featured many boxes of Taco Bell—the singer’s well-known favorite—and a beige picnic blanket.
In response to the post, Blanco said, “Hey wait … that’s my wife.”
Before they began dating in June 2023, Gomez and Blanco had worked together on the 2019 track “I Can’t Get Enough” alongside Tainy and J Balvin, thus they had known each other for years.
Gomez released the Blanco-produced song “Single Soon” in August 2023. She verified their relationship in December 2023 by liking fan account photos of the couple on Instagram and leaving a comment that said, “He is my absolute everything in my heart.” In January, they debuted on the red carpet at the 2024 Emmys.
