Four days after the Grammy winner’s representative told E! News that his mother died after a fight with severe lung cancer, his concert dates begin on December 7 at Abu Dhabi’s Formula 1 Grand Prix. Her age was 69. The 69-year-old had been fighting a terminal disease, according to news reports back in September.
Eminem has also talked about his turbulent childhood with Debbie, who married his father Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr. when she was 15 and gave birth to Eminem 16 months later, even though he hasn’t explicitly addressed her passing.
