Eva Longoria has been away from the dystopian United States! Most Americans aren’t so lucky…I get to escape

The director of “Flamin’ Hot” claims in a cover article for “Marie Claire” that she has been alternating between Mexico and Spain.

Eva Longoria is sharing the reasons behind her family’s decision to establish roots outside of the US.

In a cover article for Marie Claire’s “Age Issue,” the 49-year-old Flamin’ Hot filmmaker said that she and her husband José Bastón, along with their 6-year-old son Santiago, have been residing in Mexico and Spain for the past several years.

Despite spending her “whole adult life” in Los Angeles, Longoria, who is currently working on the second version of her CNN miniseries, Searching for Spain, after 2023’s Searching for Mexico, tells the publication that she saw the city was “changing.”

According to her, “the atmosphere was different, and then Covid happened, and it pushed it over the edge.” Not that I want to vent about California, whether it’s the taxes or homelessness, but it feels like this phase of my life is over.

The actress admits that she is “privileged” to be able to move abroad. She most recently starred in the most current season of Only Murders in the Building and the Apple TV+ series Land of Women.

“I get to go somewhere and escape.” She claims that most Americans aren’t as fortunate. “They will be stranded in this dystopian nation, and I feel sad and anxious for them.”
