Following his engagement, Julianne Hough and her ex-husband Brooks Laich post a sweet Instagram exchange that reads, Much Love

‘Dancing with the Stars’ cohost wished her ex a lifetime of love, laughter, and limitless adventures.

On Friday, December 27, Brooks Laich announced his engagement to Katrín Tanja Davíðsdóttir, and Julianne Hough joined the chorus of congratulations.

The 36-year-old Dancing with the Stars cohost said “Congratulations” on Instagram. “As you embark on this wonderful new chapter together, I’m very thrilled for you both. I hope the two of you have a lifetime filled with love, joy, and unending exploration!

“I appreciate your nice remarks, Jules. Much love!” Laich, 41, answered.

Hayley Erbert, Hough’s sister-in-law, also rejoiced over the news. She wrote, “I’m very pleased for you two 🤍🤍.

Laich’s response to Erbert, who is married to Hough’s brother Derek Hough, was, “Thanks buddy!!!!!.”

In a joint Instagram post, the 31-year-old CrossFit champion Davíðsdóttir and the retired NHL player announced their engagement on December 16.

The two wrote, “Forever feels just right with you!” and included four pictures of themselves cuddling.

Laich and Davíðsdóttir went official on Instagram in August 2021, indicating that they had been dating since then. Laich posted pictures of the two on vacation in Hawaii after supporting Davíðsdóttir in the 2021 NOBULL CrossFit Games in Madison, Wisconsin.

After getting married in 2017, Hough and Laich declared their separation in 2020. In 2022, their divorce was formalized. Hough stated on Dancing with the Stars in November that she is still unmarried.
