How Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wish to keep Archie and Lilibet safe is reflected in their holiday card

“As normal a life as possible” is what Prince Harry wants his kids to lead, according to a pal.

For the first time in years, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry featured their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, on their holiday card. However, their thoughtful depiction of their children relates to a broader parenting philosophy.

One of the six images on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s multi-photo card for the 2024 holiday season, which was released on December 16, featured the pair with their three-year-old daughter Lilibet and five-year-old son Archie.

The family of four was photographed outside with their three dogs, Guy, Pula, and Momma Mia. Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet went towards their parents, but their faces were hidden.

On a deep green background, the card’s message said, “On behalf of the office of Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions and Archewell Foundation,” in script. “We wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful new year.”

The larger card was the first time in three years that Prince Harry and Meghan included a photo of their kids in their holiday greetings, and the collage included five additional photos of the pair from their visits to Nigeria and Colombia this year. In what served as the first holiday season for the family of four, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex famously shared the first picture of Princess Lilibet, who was born in June of that year, on their 2021 holiday card.
