Joey and Channing reunite 11 years after their starring roles
In the 2013 action film “White House Down,” Joey King portrayed Channing Tatum’s costar’s daughter. Joey King ran into Channing Tatum, her former on-screen father.
The 24-year-old actress from A Family Affair and Despicable Me 4 posted pictures from her most recent visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where 44-year-old actor Tatum from Fly Me to the Moon was also present.
Eleven years after sharing the screen in White House Down (2013), the former costars shared a smile and an embrace backstage.
“Achieve your dreams!!!!!!” And I got to see Channing again,” she captioned a photo on Instagram. “tonight was amazing thank you @fallontonight.”
When King, then 14 years old, got the opportunity to work with Tatum on White House Down in 2014, she told Cosmopolitan that her sisters were envious.
“I also loved the fact that I got to work with an actor that I admired so much, Channing Tatum,” she stated at the time. Before I was hired, I went in for a screen test and got to read with him.
I was ecstatic since I admired his work so much. My sisters were like, “Oh my God, he’s so hot,” when they learned that I was going for a screen test with him. Incredible. adore him.”
