Matthew Koma and Hilary Duff during the L.A. fires, take in Mandy Moore’s family! The kindest act any human could do
Since the beginning, they have looked after my entire family. Regarding Duff and Koma, Moore’s brother-in-law Griffin Goldsmith said, “I can never express how much I appreciate them.”
In light of the recent wildfires in Los Angeles, Mandy Moore’s family has taken up residence at her friend Hilary Duff’s house.
In an Instagram post, Moore’s brother-in-law Griffin Goldsmith disclosed that the This Is Us actress, her husband Taylor Goldsmith, and their kids—August “Gus” Harrison, age three, Oscar “Ozzie” Bennett, age two, and Louise Everett, age three months—are staying with Duff, 37, and her husband Matthew Koma after their Altadena home was damaged by the fire.
“To help with everything going forward, our dear friends @matthewkoma and @hilaryduff thought it wise to set up a gofundme,” the musician said.
PEOPLE’s request for comment was not immediately answered by representatives for Moore and Duff.
After he and his wife Kit lost their house in the wildfire, Griffin also gave an update on his own circumstances, writing, “It’s impossible to express how much we’re feeling right now.” Everything is gone. Memories created in our home during the past eight years. 20 years of equipment. Our newborn boy is due in a few weeks,
and my wife @quintessentiallykit was putting the finishing touches on the nursery. Over the years, she had dedicated herself to turning the property into a veritable slice of heaven. Anyone who had the opportunity to visit can vouch for it.
