Since I bought a lot of stuff and I need the money, Frankly, Jim Carrey returned for Sonic 3
The actor plays two parts in “Sonic the Hedgehog 3,” which opens on December 20.

Jim Carrey came out of retirement to work on Sonic the Hedgehog 3 for a number of reasons.
First and foremost, I get to play a genius, which is a bit of a stretch, which is why I returned to this realm. Additionally, it’s just… To be honest, I need the money because I bought a lot of goods. “Yeah,” he smiled as he spoke to the Associated Press on Tuesday, December 10, during the movie’s U.K. premiere in London.
In the most recent installment of the video game-to-movie franchise, the actor returns to his role as the antagonist Doctor Robotnik.
Carrey stated that he intended to retire from acting back in 2022 while promoting Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

At the time of his retirement, he told Access Hollywood, “I’m being fairly serious,” although he added, “It depends. I might carry on later if the angels bring me some kind of writing written in gold ink, which indicates to me that it will be crucial for people to see. However, I’m taking a vacation.”
On December 10, Carrey laughed when questioned by AP about those comments, saying, “That might have been hyperbole.”Carrey, who began his career on In Living Color before going on to have a successful film career, stated in that 2022 interview that he “really” enjoys a “quiet life” and painting.
