Are you still stuck on that s—? Robert Pattinson asks those who believe Twilight ruined vampire films

The actor has previously expressed disapproval of the movie.

Following years of remarks from horror film enthusiasts who claim that the Twilight series “ruined” the vampire genre, Robert Pattinson is offering his thoughts.

According to Variety, the 38-year-old actor stated in an interview with GQ Spain, “I love that people keep telling me, ‘Man, Twilight ruined the vampire genre.'” That s——are you still stuck on it? How is it possible to be depressed over something that occurred nearly two decades ago? It’s insane.

Pattison became a household name in the series, which debuted in 2008, as vampire Edward Cullen opposite Kristen Stewart’s Bella Swan.

“The people who don’t like it are generally people who haven’t seen it, and they’re like all judgmental and stuff, and cynical people,” Pattinson once said, speaking frankly about the movies that shaped his early career in the years since its premiere. However, I believe that I am a critical and prejudiced person who would simply despise it without ever seeing anything.

Pattinson has also expressed confusion at the film and book series’ popularity, saying in a 2019 Variety Actors on Actors interview with Jennifer Lopez, “I mean, it’s a weird story, Twilight. The way people reacted is odd.”They are very romantic, but at the same time, it’s not like The Notebook romantic,” he said of the cultural phenomenon it became.
