Ben Affleck’s 18-year-old daughter gave a very wise speech on an important topic
The girl said, “I developed a post-viral condition in 2019,” as she attended the L.A. County Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, July 9.
Violet Affleck is making a statement.
The eighteen-year-old daughter of Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck spoke up during the Public Comment period of the meeting on Tuesday, July 9, as shown in a video shared on X (previously known as Twitter).
With an introduction that read, “Violet Affleck, Los Angeles resident, first-time voter and 18,” the adolescent expressed her opposition to mask bans and in favor of high-quality, free testing that is readily available.
During her speech at Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration in Los Angeles, the adolescent disclosed that she had acquired a post-viral disease in 2019.
“Although I’m fine today, I witnessed directly that medicine is not always able to address the effects of even small viruses. That has come into starker focus due of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Violet went on, pointing out that vulnerable people are more likely to be affected than the general population. “One in ten infections leads to long COVID,
which is a devastating neurological [and] cardiovascular illness that can take away people’s ability to work, move, see, and even think,” Violet said.
