Britney dances to her own song the hook up from 2003 while wearing a little black dress
Britney Spears let her hair down and twirled inside her house to her song “The Hook Up,” which was released nearly 20 years ago.
It’s always entertaining to see Britney Spears perform a dance, especially to one of her own songs! On February 23, the 41-year-old pop star posted an Instagram video of herself dancing in her home to her 2003 song “The Hook Up.”
Britney wore a cute little black dress and matching heels as she performed for her 41 million Instagram followers. For the fun dance session, the Grammy Award winner let her blonde hair down.
Britney stated in her caption that “The Hook Up,” from her 2003 hit album In the Zone, “was never released as a single but it was always my favorite.”
The song was one of 13 on Britney’s fourth studio album, which also included the hits “Toxic,” “Me Against the Music,” and “Everytime.”
Britney disabled comments on her video, preventing her fans from responding to the dance session. The “Hold Me Closer” singer frequently uses Instagram, and some of her social media behavior has worried fans about Britney’s well-being.
Fans went so far as to call the police to conduct a wellness check on Britney at her California home in January, and after police officials stated that they “did not believe she was in any kind of harm or danger,”
the mom-of-two addressed the incident directly to her fans.
“As everyone is aware, the police were called to my house due to some prank phone calls. “I love and adore my fans, but things went a little too far this time, and my privacy was invaded,” Britney wrote in a lengthy
Twitter post on Jan. 26. “The police never entered my home, and when they arrived at my gate, they quickly realized there was no problem and left.
“It felt like I was being gaslighted and bullied once the incident made the news and I was being portrayed in a negative and unfair light by the media,” she added.
Britney was under strict conservatorship for 13 years until it was lifted in November 2021. Britney later married her boyfriend Sam Asghari, 28, who has also spoken out against the reports casting doubt on Britney’s well-being.
There were even rumors that Britney’s family and friends were planning a “intervention” to assist her, but both Britney and Sam denied this. Britney has remained estranged from her parents and her sister Jamie Lynn Spears throughout this ordeal.
