As she rekindles her creative spark, Meghan Markle claims that she and Prince Harry are once again in a “honeymoon period.”
The 43-year-old Duchess of Sussex talks candidly with PEOPLE in this week’s exclusive cover story about how her husband is thrilled to see her return to the business world with her lifestyle brand As Ever and her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan.
“I see this spark in my husband’s eye when he sees me doing the same thing that I was doing when he first met me,” she says, referring to the time I had The Tig.
He would see me scribbling away, creating newsletters, perfecting corrections, and just really being in the intricacies of it back in the beginning, so she continues, “it’s almost like a honeymoon period again.” I believe he enjoys watching just as much as I enjoy the creative process. It has simply been enjoyable. I’ve always been this way.
Long before the influencer boom, Meghan started The Tig, a lifestyle blog, in 2014 when she was appearing in the popular legal show Suits in Toronto. There, she expressed her passion for food, travel, and wellness. However, Meghan shut down the website in April 2017 and removed her personal Instagram by early 2018 as her connection with Prince Harry grew more serious.
