Princess Diana would be rightly proud of his nephew Prince Harry’s court victory over the tabloids, according to Charles Spencer

“It takes an enormous amount of guts to take on major media organisations like this, and incredible tenacity to win against them,” stated Spencer.

Following his court triumph over Rupert Murdoch’s News Group Newspapers (NGN), the publisher of the now-defunct News Of The World and the U.K. tabloid The Sun, Charles Spencer is congratulating his nephew Prince Harry.

The late Princess Diana’s brother, Spencer, wrote a message of congratulations for the 40-year-old Duke of Sussex on Wednesday, January 22, following their settlement with NGN prior to the start of their trial in London.

Due to private settlement negotiations, the trial was postponed by one day from its initial start time of Tuesday morning.

The 60-year-old Spencer posted an image of a BBC News story on Harry’s legal success on Instagram along with the caption, “It takes an enormous amount of guts to take on major media organisations like this, and incredible tenacity to win against them.”

“It’s fantastic that Harry was able to get his mother to apologize as well; I have no doubt that she would be really moved and proud of Harry for this. “Very well done,” Spencer added in his comments.

Before the parties came to a settlement, NGN refuted all of Harry’s claims. As part of the settlement, Harry was given damages totaling eight figures, probably more than $12 million.
