Halle Bailey, who starred in The Little Mermaid, will play Princess Ariel in the upcoming Disney live-action feature, and the gifted beauty is reaching new heights in her career. Halle may be portraying a mermaid, but that doesn’t mean she can’t enjoy life near or under the sea!
When she goes on a tropical vacation, the Chloe x Halle singer occasionally uploads images of herself on Instagram. After filming for the Disney picture wrapped in the summer of 2021, Halle wrote an emotional Instagram post about her time on set. In the photo,
the leading lady channelled her inner Ariel as she rested in the ocean near the shoreline, with a beautiful sunset behind her.
“And just like that, that’s a wrap,” Halle captioned her beautiful July 2021 Instagram snap. “We finally made it after auditioning for this film when I was 18 and about to turn 19, to now finishing filming through a pandemic when I was 21.” “I am so grateful to have seen this film in its entirety.”
While she enjoyed working on the enchanting film, Halle also admitted that it was difficult at times.
“It’s been the most difficult experience of my life, being away from everything and everyone I’ve ever known, feeling self doubt/loneliness, but also such freedom and perseverance as I’ve reached the end,” Halle concluded.
“This experience has made me far stronger than I ever imagined I could be.”
“I can’t wait for time to slow down so you can all see this film because it was made with so much love (along with blood, sweat, and tears) lol [sic].”
By early 2022, the Atlanta, Georgia native had indulged in some exciting excursions and activities. She documented one of them in an Instagram picture from January 2022.
“Suns out, buns out,” she jokingly captioned the post, which featured two images of her in a seductive dark green two-piece swinging above the crystal clear blue ocean water.
Despite her love of the sun, Halle and her sister Chloe Bailey are enthusiastic skincare advocates. The musical trio addressed why sun lotion is necessary in a March 2021 interview with Allure.
“Chloe has actually been the one who has gotten me to wear sunscreen on a daily basis because everyone that knows me knows I’m such a sunny bunny,” Halle said after Chloe revealed a childhood experience in which she only dotted lotion on her face,
leaving her skin discoloured due to the intensity of the UV rays.
“That’s when I noticed how quickly the sun can affect your skin, no matter what shade we are,” Chloe explained.
Halle is always ready to hit the beach, thanks to her sister, while keeping her skin’s health in mind.
