Taylor Swift is the queen of the high-waisted biкini! The singer rarely wears a swimsսit, but when she does, fans take notice.
The “Look What You Made Me Do” singer has been tight-lipped about her body image throughout her career. However, as she’s matured in the public eye, she’s spoken openly about overcoming obstacles.
“I didn’t know if I was going to feel comfortable talking about body image and talking about the stuff I’ve gone through in terms of how unhealthy that’s been for me — my relationship with food and all that over the years,”
Taylor told Variety in January 2022, referring to her Netflix Miss Americana documentary.
I’m not as articulate as I should be on this subject because there are so many individuals who could do so better. But all I have is my personal experience.
And my connection with food was based on the same psychology that I applied to everything else in my life: if I got a pat on the back, I took it as a compliment. If I received a punishment, I marked it as awful.”
The “Lavender Haze” singer has also provided her fans encouraging statements about growing up over the years. Taylor discussed some lessons she’s learnt ahead of her 30th birthday on the cover of Elle magazine in March 2019.
“Social media can be great, but it can also inundate your brain with images of what you aren’t, how you’re failing, or who is in a cooler locale than you at any given moment,” the Midnights singer explained at the time.
“One thing I do to alleviate this strange insecurity laser beam is turn off comments.” Yes, I do not allow comments on my posts. That way, I can update my friends and admirers on my life while also training my brain to not need the validation of someone telling me that I look [fire emojis].”
Having said that, she advised readers to remember to have fun, especially when dressing up.
