According to a report, Taylor Swift’s $1.6 billion net worth surpasses Rihanna’s as the richest female musician
Forbes’ most recent estimate of the singer’s net worth came in just short of Rihanna’s and her Fenty empire’s $1.4 billion mark.
By a slim margin, Taylor Swift has surpassed Rihanna to become the world’s richest female artist.
Swift’s successful Eras Tour increased her net worth, according to Forbes, which reports that she became a billionaire late last year. With over $2 billion in revenue from 125 gigs, or over $16 million per event, Swift holds the record for the highest tour gross ever.
Along with touring, Swift’s wealth has increased due to the $600 million value of her catalog, an additional $600 million in royalties, and over $125 million in real estate from her numerous residences across the US.
After its October 2023 release, her Eras Tour movie had made over $261 million at the box office.
Swift gained notoriety when she declared that she would be re-recording all of her previous albums in order to keep the masters, credits, and royalties of her songs. Her “Taylor’s Version” renditions of songs have been popular ever since.
“I think that artists deserve to own their work,” she stated during an interview with Good Morning America in 2019. “I just feel very passionately about that.”Rihanna used to claim the title of richest female musician in the world.
The majority of the R&B singer’s wealth comes from her lingerie brand Savage X Fenty and her popular cosmetics line Fenty Beauty. Notably, Rihanna hasn’t put out an album in almost ten years.
