Swift changed the lyrics of one of her “Tortured Poets Department” songs, “thanK you aIMee,” to “thank You aimEe.”

When the live version of Taylor Swift’s song “thanK you aIMee” was released in June, she subtly changed the song’s title to “thank You aimEe.” For Swifties, this small change meant a lot.

Swift appeared to poke fun at the Chicago rapper just a few days after the 14-time Grammy winner’s The Tortured Poets Department achieved its 14th week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 list, preventing Ye (a.k.a. Kanye West) and Ty Dolla $ign’s joint album Vultures 2 from reaching the top spot.

Now, the title’s capital letters, “thank You aimEe,” spell out YE, ostensibly signaling the culmination of their long-running conflict. Swift sings, “‘F— you, Aimee,’ to the night sky, as the blood was gushing /

But I can’t forget the way you made me heal,” in the Tortured Poets song. “All that time you were throwing punches, I was building something.” Ye not only cut short Swift’s acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, but he also added the following lines in his 2016 song “Famous”:

“I feel like Taylor and I might still be having sex/Why? I brought fame to that b—-. Then he said she gave the lyrics her blessing.
