Cardi B’s decision to file for divorce wasn’t an easy one
The insider exclusively tells PEOPLE, “She needs to end it, but she’d love to have a great marriage.” Though challenging for her to make, Cardi B’s choice to file for divorce from Offset was “a long time coming.”
The rapper’s decision to “file for divorce again wasn’t an easy one,” an exclusive insider tells PEOPLE. “She is a working mother who is pregnant and has already raised two children.
She must end her marriage even though she would love to have a wonderful one too.” The insider also mentions that Cardi, 31, has “support” from those close to her for ending the marriage.
They continue, “It’s been a long time coming.” “There are multiple problems. She’s come a long way. She is very clear about the kind of life she wants to lead. She is totally devoted to her job and her children.”
The source claims that despite their disagreements ending their marriage, “they are still friendly and will co-parent” their two children, son Wave Set, 2, and daughter Kulture Kiari, 6.
Another source adds, “Offset has always been supportive of Cardi and their family.” Since their September 2017 wedding, Cardi and her rapper husband, 32,
have had an intermittent relationship, with problems frequently arising from reports of Offset’s alleged infidelity.
