Denise Richards talks about her 13 yearold daughter Eloise’s chromosomal abnormality! She is a divine being
Richards adopted Eloise as a baby, and it was discovered that she had a chromosomal 8 deletion.
The life of Denise Richards and her family has been impacted by “an angel.”
“It’s the best,” Richards says of raising her 13-year-old youngest daughter, Eloise, whom she adopted as a baby. “Eloise is a bright light.”
The teen was diagnosed with a chromosomal 8 loss in 2016, which was nearly nine years ago. Richards, 54, stated in a 2019 interview with PEOPLE that her chromosomal condition had “caused a lot of developmental delays for her,” including the inability to sit up, walk, and speak.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star now talks candidly about her experience as a mother of a child with special needs in this week’s PEOPLE cover story.
“She never fails to be joyful. She is a joy to be around. Regarding her children, Sami Sheen, 20, and Lola Sheen, 19, whom she has with her ex-husband Charlie Sheen, she remarks, “The girls are so amazing with her.” “They believe that I had their sister. Thus, their relationship with her is fantastic.
Richards and the rest of their family have learned from Eloise to “stop and smell the roses” and value the “simplest things” in life.
“She just loves everything, and she just embraces it and is just so happy,” Richards says. Additionally, the older girls see it as well, and occasionally, if they argue, [Eloise] will just say.
