During his SNL50 special, Ryan Reynolds jokes about it ending with a us suit involving his wife Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni
On Sunday, February 16, the ‘Deadpool’ actor and his spouse traveled to New York City to celebrate the sketch comedy show’s 50th anniversary.
During its 50th anniversary special, Saturday Night Live continued its tradition of making fun of pop culture and current affairs.
In the midst of the continuing legal dispute over her most recent film, It Ends With Us, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds attended SNL50: The Anniversary Special in New York City on Sunday, February 16. Reynolds, 48, appeared during a segment in which Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, two former cast members, took questions from well-known faces in the Studio 8H audience during the first hour of the show.
Fey, 54, asked Reynolds, who was sitting in the crowd next to Lively, simply, “How’s it going?” as he got up to pose a question.
The actor feigned nervousness and said in jest, “Great, why? Have you heard anything?
The remark followed Lively’s It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds, their publicist Leslie Sloane, and Sloane’s public relations agency Vision PR, Inc. on allegations of defamation, civil extortion, and other offenses.
The 41-year-old Baldoni also filed a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times over an article published in December that said he and his staff had launched a smear campaign against her.
