Inside the stressful ordeal of Blake Lively’s shocking case against Justin Baldoni
Baldoni, the director and actor of “It Ends With Us,” has refuted Lively’s claims that he sexually assaulted her and then retaliated when she raised her voice. What comes next?

Fans quickly realized something wasn’t right when Blake Lively and the ensemble of It Ends With Us started marketing the movie last summer.
The film’s director and star, Justin Baldoni, was not followed on Instagram by Lively, co-stars Jenny Slate and Brandon Sklenar, or author Colleen Hoover, whose 2016 book on domestic abuse was turned into the movie.

Baldoni missed a screening at the Book Bonanza festival in Grapevine, Texas, in June, among other group appearances.
While the other members of the core cast grinned and posed together, the Jane the Virgin alumnus did not take any pictures with them at the August 6 New York City premiere.

A set insider told PEOPLE at the time that the truth would come to light as rumors of a split between Lively and Baldoni circulated among TikTokers and Instagram commenters: “There is much more to the story.”Now that tale is unfolding. Lawyers for Lively, 37, filed a shocking complaint with the California
Civil Rights Department on Dec. 20 alleging that Baldoni, 40, whose production company, Wayfarer Studios, created the popular movie, sexually harassed the actress and then launched a smear campaign against her after she spoke out.
