Investigation into Matthew Perry! Actor’s de ath linked to at least one arrest

Almost one year after Matthew Perry’s death, authorities have made at least one arrest in connection to the investigation surrounding how the Friends actor obtained the ketamine found in his system.

Authorities are getting closer to untangling the details of Matthew Perry’s death.

As part of the ongoing investigation into how the Friends alum obtained the ketamine that was found in his system—as cited in his cause of death—at least one arrest has been made, law enforcement sources confirmed to NBC News.

While details remain minimal at this time, TMZ reports, citing law enforcement sources, that multiple agencies have executed search warrants and seized computers, phones and other electronics as part of the investigation.

E! News has reached out to authorities for comment but has not yet heard back.

Following news of the arrest, the Morrison family, including Perry’s stepfather Keith Morrison, shared a statement obtained by NBC News.

“We were and still are heartbroken by Matthew’s death,” the family noted, “but it has helped to know law enforcement has taken his case very seriously.

We look forward to justice taking its course.”

Back in June, a law enforcement source familiar with the situation told NBC News multiple people could end up being charged in connection with Perry’s death.
