It closes with Justin Baldoni of us saying director Blake Lively should helm the follow-up
Blake Lively is the person Justin Baldoni has in mind to helm the It Ends With Us sequel, It Starts With Us, though he isn’t convinced he wants to do it. It’s not nearly time for Justin Baldoni to embark on a new endeavor.
The Colleen Hoover novel’s film version was also directed by the It Ends With Us actor, but for the book’s follow-up It Starts With Us, he has another director in mind: costar Blake Lively.
At the film’s August 6 premiere, Justin said to Entertainment Tonight, “I think there are better people for that one.” “I think Blake Lively’s ready to direct, that’s what I think.”
The Jane the Virgin alumnus had nothing but praise for the Gossip Girl actress, who also functioned as a producer, despite fans’ rumors of a rift between the two.
She clarified that he made an effort to foster a collaborative environment on set for Blake and their fellow cast members Blake Lively, Brandon Sklenar, Jenny Slate, and Isabela Ferrer.
In an interview with Today.com that was published on August 9, he stated, “You can’t summarize Blake’s contribution in a sentence because her energy and imprint is all over the movie and really, really made the film better, and from beginning to end.”
The opinion is in line with what Justin, who is married to Emily Baldoni and has two children, Maiya, age nine, and Maxwell, age six, previously shared with E! News regarding their collaboration.
