Affleck, 52, one of the movie’s producers, will not be walking the festival’s red carpet,

but Lopez, 55, who plays a supporting part in the movie, is expected to attend the September event in person, according to sources who spoke with PEOPLE. There will be his 53-year-old friend Matt Damon, who is also a producer.

The drama is produced by Artists Equity, which Affleck and Damon co-founded, and stars Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, and Don Cheadle.

On February 13, Affleck accompanied Lopez on the Los Angeles red carpet for her This Is Me…Now: A Love Story project. On May 6, however, Affleck went to the Met Gala by herself.
