Michael Phelps teaches Snoop Dogg how to swim at the Olympics! We go back like the backstroke
Phelps was invited to impart some of his gold medal talents to the legendary hip-hop artist. As an official Olympic commentator for the Summer Olympics in Paris, Snoop Dogg is still having a blast.
His most recent highlight was learning how to swim from legendary Olympian Michael Phelps. Snoop, 52, remarked, “See, me and M.P., we go back like the backstroke,” in an NBC Olympic promotional film.
Then, the legend of hip-hop urged Phelps to show him some of his gold medal-winning moves by having him swim a few laps in the pool. Snoop cheekily retorted, “I definitely have lung power,” to Phelps’s (39), assertion that “wingspan” and “lung power” are the keys to becoming a proficient swimmer.
After the two completed a few laps in the water, Phelps laughed and said to a panting Snoop, “You think swimming’s tough, huh?” The rapper replied, “It’s not as easy as I thought it is!” Then the two laughed together several times.
Snoop revealed an unexpected bond with 80-year-old tennis legend Billie Jean King, who is also in Paris for the Olympics, in a selfie they took earlier this week. “I got to know the legendary Snoop Dogg.
We both attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School after graduating from there. We were both reared in Long Beach, California.
King posted a selfie and more images of herself with the rapper on Instagram along with the caption, “LBC forever in our hearts.”
