Pamela Anderson claims that her playboy ersona of the 1990s was a cartoon character
In a recent cover article for “Better Homes & Gardens,” the 57-year-old talked candidly about redefining herself and her decision to forgo makeup.
Pamela Anderson is adopting a fresh perspective on beauty. As a Playboy model and TV series star, the 57-year-old actress and activist gained widespread recognition and was viewed as a sex icon.
But Anderson has chosen a more understated appearance recently, giving up her trademark smokey eyes and heavily lined lips in favor of a makeup-free way of living.
In a recent cover story for Better Homes & Gardens, the actress talked candidly about her decision to pull back from the spotlight and give up her former identity.
“That was the beginning of me letting go of the image I had always had of myself,” she said
to the publication in reference to her first makeup-free presentation at Paris Fashion Week in 2023, which made headlines.
“What is this animated figure that I made? Alright, that was enjoyable. But I’ve changed since then.” Anderson added that she “didn’t think anyone would even notice” that she was wearing nothing but her bare face,
but she wanted to “challenge the idea of beauty and this mask we put on”. “As soon as I took the mask off, the whole world opened up,” she said.
