Robert Downey Jr. is expected to break all previous records for movie star salary thanks to his most recent part

Robert Downey Jr. is expected to break the record for most paid actor in a motion picture when he receives’significantly more’ than £62 million for his most recent part.

The 59-year-old actor is unexpectedly returning to the Marvel Universe, but this time as the Fantastic Four antagonist Doctor Doom rather than his beloved Iron Man role, according to news released on Monday.

There will be two new Avengers films starring this character. The Oscar-winning Oppenheimer star is reportedly set to receive a salary of over £62 million,

with additional payments anticipated in the form of “performance escalators” that will give him a cut of the box office receipts. Downey Jr.’s deal also includes an entire “trailer encampment,” dedicated security, and private jet travel.

The actor will become the highest-paid movie star of all time, surpassing the earnings of Bruce Willis in Sixth Sense, Tom Cruise in the Top Gun revival, and Will Smith in Men in Black 3.

Earning £400 million as Tony Stark’s Iron Man and appearing in four Avengers films, three Iron Man outings, and appearances in The Incredible Hulk, Captain America: Civil War, and Spider-Man: Homecoming,

Downey Jr. is the highest paid character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Despite the death of his Tony Stark persona, the franchise’s multiverse narrative will enable him to make a comeback.
