Ryan Reynolds responds to Deadpool and wife Blake Lively’s box office competition in It Ends With Us

As Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are both experiencing box office hits with Deadpool & Wolverine and It Ends With Us, the Marvel star said they don’t experience feelings of rivalry.

Ryan Reynolds is looking at life with Blake Lively through chimichanga-colored glasses.

As the couple has been busy on the promotional trail for their respective hits Deadpool & Wolverine and It Ends With Us, there has been no shortage of love and support between Ryan and Blake—despite the potential for a box office rivalry.

“I think that’s the sign of a good relationship,” Ryan, 47, told Willie Geist during an Aug. 16 preview of Today’s Sundown Sitdown. “It’s always been the one kind of constant with Blake and I is that we really root for each other.”

As the Deadpool star quipped, it’s the “only time in my life I’ve ever dreamt of coming in second.”

In fact, as Blake—who recently made headlines for an alleged rift between herself and her It Ends With Us director and costar Justin Baldoni—explained, part of what makes their love story special is getting the chance to work together.
