Late motherhood is becoming more common, and at the age of 48, Hollywood star Hilary Swank has announced that she will become a mother for the first time.
The actress is overjoyed that she and her husband will be embarking on this new chapter in their lives. She made the sweetest announcement, informing us that they will soon become a family of four, and we couldn’t be happier for this lovely couple.
She had long desired to become a mother. The actress and her husband, social venture entrepreneur Philip Schneider, whom she refers to as “the man of my dreams,” met on a blind date and married in 2018.
As she explained, “we met at 10:00 a.m. and parted ways at 11:00 p.m.,” their chemistry had been almost immediate on that first date.
And, four years after their wedding, Hilary revealed on a TV show that she was expecting “not one, but two” children. “This is something I’ve been wanting for a long time,”
she said of motherhood. She went on to say that twins run in her and her husband’s families.
She is in her second trimester now. Hilary couldn’t hide her excitement as she made the announcement on live television. “It’s such a blessing,” she admitted. It’s a complete miracle. It’s incredible.”
She revealed that she was in the middle of her pregnancy and that her clothes had recently stopped fitting her. “So I had to cut [my jeans] open the other day,” she continued.
