Swifties and Taylor Swift duet while singing Bon Iver’s Exile parts at the last Warsaw Eras tour show
On August 3, fans once more joined in to sing Justin Vernon, the singer of Bon Iver,’s back-and-forth portions during the breakup song. Taylor Swift performed a duet as part of her Eras Tour stop in Poland!
Swift startled the sold-out audience on Saturday, August 3, at the third and final stop of her Eras Tour in Warsaw, by mashup-ing the traditional breakup song “exile,” featuring Bon Iver, with The Tortured Poets Department’s “The Black Dog.”
Swift is a 14-time Grammy winner. Swift’s fans filled in for her during her piano mashup during the show’s secret song segment, singing the song’s “exile” line and back-and-forth sections as Justin Vernon, who sings for Bon Iver, was not present.
Swift, 34, has already performed “exile” as a surprise song on the Eras Tour four times: in August 2023 in Los Angeles, February 2023 in Australia, and June 2023 in Scotland.
Before they began singing Vernon’s first verse, the crowd could be heard yelling as she announced her “exile” in a fan-captured video.
The fans joined Swift in singing, “I can see you standing, honey / With his arms around your body / Laughin’, but the joke’s not funny at all.”
“And you packed us up and left me with it / Holdin’ all this love out here in the hall, and it took you five whole minutes.”
