Heart thievery! Sydney Sweeney is best known for her role as Cassie Howard in HBO’s Euphoria, but she has also become a fashion icon.
Since breaking into the spotlight, the Washington native has dominated numerous red carpets with her most fashionable ensembles, some of which she wore without a brа.
Fans of Euphoria are accustomed to seeing Sydney without a brа due to the show’s numerous nude scenes, but she is unconcerned.
“I’m so disconnected from [doing nаked scenes],” the White Lotus actress told Cosmopolitan in February 2022. “When I get tagged in Cassie’s or Pippa from The Voyeurs’s nսdes, it feels like me looking at their nսdes, not Sydney’s nսdes.
When you film one of these scenes, it is extremely technical and devoid of romance. There are people staring at you, pads between you, niррle covers and strange sticker thongs all up in your buttocks.
When I first saw The Voyeurs, I wondered if I’d done too much. I looked up celebrities who had done nսde scenes to make myself feel better.”
Sydney went on to say that there is a “double standard” in Hollywood when it comes to men’s and women’s nսde scenes, adding, “I really hope I can play a small part in changing that.”
The HBO star is also passionate about having a positive body image, and she frequently shares her personal experiences with fans.
“I had someone tell me once that it was [someone’s] mother… I’m a very busy person. I am injured. I’m getting bruises. I get shaved.
I think I returned from laser tag with rug burns all over my legs because I got so into it. “And she sat me up on the counter and told me that no boy would ever love me if I had marks on my body,”
she recalled in February 2022 to British GQ. “I told her, ‘I guess I’ll just have to love myself.'”
Sydney understands that, while she is all about being comfortable in her own skin, “it’s a daily process” at times.
“It’s definitely hard because I know I’m a role model and I want to show that I am confident and also a real person,” she told Yahoo! Life in May 2021.
And there are times when I’m unhappy with myself or something just doesn’t feel right. I believe it is critical for everyone to understand that everyone is a real person with feelings,
and it is OK if you don’t feel confident one day, but just know that you are beautiful no matter what.
