On Wednesday, September 11, the performer was seen leaving for an afterparty at Electric Lady Studios in New York City. She had received seven trophies at the VMAs, making her the most decorated artist in the show’s history with a total of thirty moon people.
Following her entrance at the ceremony in a beaded Monse minidress featuring a UFO motif on the front, 34-year-old Swift was spotted heading to the afterparty donning a same attire.
The “Bejeweled” hitmaker wore a boyfriend jacket with a UFO motif from the same designer. She paired it with an asymmetrical miniskirt and a corset that also had an alien-esque print.
Swift wore smokey eye makeup, her trademark red lipstick, and clunky heeled black knee-high boots to provide some extra height and glam appeal. Among the celebrities that attended the star-studded celebration were Post Malone and Sabrina Carpenter.
The singer’s smash song “Down Bad” from her most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department, appears to be referenced in the UFO theme.
Swift disclosed that the lyrics to “Down Bad” are about being “love bombed,” drawing comparisons to alien abduction and abandonment during an April iHeartRadio interview.
