Isn’t her leg giving Angelina Jolie a run for her money? I believe this is Cara’s best look yet, though her appearance at the 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards comes in a close second.
Cara’s appearance at the Oscars comes just a few days after she opened up about her mental health and sobriety journey in a Vogue profile.
“I’ve had some sort of intervention, but I wasn’t prepared. That is the issue. You won’t if you’re not face-first on the floor and ready to get up.
“At that point,” she explained, referring to her admission to rehab last year. “I hadn’t been to see a therapist in three years. I just pushed everyone away, which made me realize how bad I was feeling.
I used to believe that work had to be done when things were bad, but it turns out that work has to be done when things are good. The work must be done on a regular basis. It’ll never be fixed or fully healed, but that’s okay with me, and that’s the difference.”
“This process obviously has its ups and downs,” she continued, “but I’ve started realizing so much. People want my story to be an after-school special in which I simply say,
‘Oh, look, I was an addict, and now I’m sober, and that’s all there is to it.’ And it’s not quite that simple. It does not occur overnight….
Of course, I want things to happen quickly—I believe this generation, in particular, wants things to happen quickly—but I’ve had to dig deeper.”
