This man bathes his ailing animal in the lake each night since the liquid relieves his suffering
After some picture of an animal named Schooep sleeping calmly on his landlord’s shoulder while bathing in a Wi lake surfaced online
in 2012, the animal and his owner Peter Unger gained worldwide fame.
This picture has a backstory that drew in hundreds of thousands of viewers from all over the globe.
Schoop had arthritis when this iconic shot was taken when he was 19 years old.
Did take him to a lake every day to help a bit with his misery. He dove far into the sea while holding the animal in his hands.
John Unger and his partner took Schoop in as adoption from a rescue. John broke up with their fiancée, whom he planned to marry,
11 years ago, and subsequently experienced a severe depressive episode.
“I want to be completely open with you. If it weren’t for this dog, I wouldn’t be here. One night, I had suicide ideas and woke up.
Schoop, though, was with me, and I have no idea how to explain. He disconnected me from those ideas. In an appearance, John said,
“He has achieved all for me that the reality that I am assisting in lessening his pain in his old age is simply the little that I’m doing for him.
