Three years after her French bulldogs were dognapped, Lady Gaga unveils new puppy
On August 21, Gaga debuted the puppy in a TikTok video that featured her duet with Bruno Mars. A new furry buddy has joined Lady Gaga’s family.
The 38-year-old multihyphenate debuted the new member on Wednesday, August 21, in a TikTok video that was accompanied by her new song, “Die with a Smile,” featuring Bruno Mars.
She lip-synced to the song while holding the black French Bulldog in her lap in the captionless video. She wore long black hair, blue eyeshadow, and vivid red lips. She mouthed, “If the world was ending, I’d wanna be next to you,” while her voice sung the song in the footage.
Although Gaga referred to the dog as “Our new Queen” in the comments, her name is unclear.
Three years had passed since Gaga’s dog walker was shot and seriously hurt during a robbery and kidnapping in February 2021, when her video was released. Koji and Gustav, two of her French bulldogs, were also taken.
The event happened on Hollywood’s Sierra Bonita Avenue at night. Two days after the incident, a woman brought the dogs back “safe” to the Olympic Community Police Station of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Five suspects were taken into custody in April 2021 in relation to the shooting and kidnapping.
As part of a plea agreement, James Howard Jackson, one of the suspects, entered a plea of not guilty to attempted murder with serious bodily harm and was given a 21-year jail sentence.
