When a little child named Mohammed asked the 42-year-old Prince of Wales if he was “the King” during a recent school outing, the prince had a tactful response.
Prince William and the student had the adorable conversation on January 23 as Prince William was visiting the Toxeth neighborhood of Liverpool to meet with neighborhood organizations that assist local youth.
In a video posted on X by St. Nicholas Catholic Academy, a small youngster questioned the Prince of Wales, “Hello, are you the King?”
Then Prince William turned to inquire about the boy’s personal life.
“What’s your name? Mohammed. Mohammed, how are you? Good to see you. Was your day at school enjoyable? William stated. Perhaps as a result of his experience as a father to Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, whom he shares with wife Kate Middleton, the Prince of Wales is an expert at relating to children.
