24 years later, Sarah Jessica Parker brings back Carrie Bradshaw’s iconic Chanel blouse

Carrie Bradshaw wore the daring style in the well-known “Hot Child in the City” “Sex in the City” episode from 2000.

You’ve probably seen Sarah Jesscia Parker’s most recent ensemble on the set of And Just Like That before, which explains why it looked so similar to you.

Wearing an ensemble coded for the 2000s, the actress was spotted filming season 3 of the Sex and the City revival in New York City on August 28.

Parker (as Carrie Bradshaw) looked stunning on the set in a flowing translucent Chanel shirt decorated with a vibrant pattern that included hearts with the brand’s double “C” emblem.

On September 24, 2000, the episode “Hot Child in the City” debuted, marking the blouse’s debut in the SATC universe.

At the time, Carrie wore the item with bright ankle-strap heels, a turquoise bandana around her ponytail, and a pair of tie-dyed purple capris. The ensemble was so striking, especially with the Chanel top, that it was frequently featured in compilations of classic Carrie Bradshaw looks.

But in its new incarnation, the shirt was dressed down with a violet pencil skirt and tie-dyed chartreuse heels.

In an interview with PEOPLE, AJLT costume designers Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago discussed their vision for the show’s modern-day Carrie, which aired in December 2021.

“I believe that combining high and low, vintage and thrifted pieces was crucial to Carrie’s appearance in this new show.
