After discovering a house she loved in the countryside, Ellen DeGeneres relocated to England
Recently, the former talk show presenter and her spouse, Portia de Rossi, have been sighted out and about in the Cotswalds region, which is a favorite among celebrities.

According to a source who spoke to PEOPLE, Ellen DeGeneres has moved to the English countryside.
After discovering a home in the United Kingdom that she fell in love with, the former talk show host, whose lengthy eponymous series came to an end in May 2022, has relocated overseas.
“In early October, Ellen was house searching in England. She eventually discovered a home she adored and bought it soon after,” the insider claims.

Ellen and her spouse, Portia de Rossi, were sighted at The Farmer’s Dog, a pub in the Cotswolds owned by Jeremy Clarkson, an English journalist and TV host, just last week.
“They hung out with [Clarkson’s partner, actress] Lisa Hogan and James Blunt, and The Corrs performed at the pub,” according to a source. PEOPLE’s request for comment was not immediately answered by a DeGeneres spokeswoman.

The couple sold their Carpinteria mansion for $96 million in August, according to a real estate insider back in California who spoke to PEOPLE.
DeGeneres is a well-known multimillion-dollar home collector who owns a number of Southern California residences. As previously reported by PEOPLE, she sold a house in Montecito, California, for $32 million in May 2024 after refurbishing it, and she also sold another property in the same area for $15 million in April 2022 after owning it for less than a year.
