Alyssa Milano recalled her difficult relationship with Shannen after everyone’s beloved Prue passed away
After Shannen Doherty died on July 13, Alyssa Milano spoke out about the Charmed star, who claimed Milano sacked her from the series.
Alyssa Milano is letting go of her past.
Despite their years-long dispute, Milano paid respect to her Charmed co-star Shannen Doherty, who died on July 13.
“It’s no secret that Shannen and I had a complicated relationship, but at its core was someone I deeply respected and was in awe of,” Milano told Entertainment Weekly
. “She was a wonderful actress who was adored by many, and the world is a poorer place for her absence. My sympathies to everyone who loved her.”
Doherty’s death follows a nearly decade-long fight with breast cancer. Despite going into remission in 2017 following a 2015 diagnosis, her illness returned in 2020. In June 2023, the Beverly Hills, 90210 star revealed that the cancer had metastasized to her brain and then spread to her bones.
“On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease,” her publicist Leslie Sloane told NBC News. “The beloved daughter, sister, aunt,
and friend was surrounded by her loved ones, including her dog, Bowie. The family requests privacy at this time so that they can grieve in peace.
