The 75-year-old actor expressed his gratitude for his wife Alejandra Silva and their four sons during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, November 20. The sons are Alexander, 5, James, 4, Albert, 11, Silva’s child from a previous relationship, and Homer, 24, whom he shares with his ex-wife Carey Lowell.

said, “How great is this chapter in your life?” Without hesitation, Gere said, “The top of the top.””My wife is the object of my affection. The Pretty Woman actress went on, “She’s amazing, a wonderful mother.” “The children are content and healthy. There’s nothing more than that, of course.”

Then, when he talked about moving to Madrid, Gere revealed that he and his family would be spending Thanksgiving there.

He said, “We’re going to spend some years in Madrid with her family because my wife is Spanish and she gave me about seven years here.”

“Our children will thrive there because they speak two languages,” Gere said with excitement.

The delighted father says, “My wife grew up in a big Spanish family, like a big Italian family, and her grandmother was kind of the glue that held that all together.” He is excited to spend Thanksgiving Day in Spain.

“And the grandmother died [about] two years ago, so I can see my wife becoming the new grandma of this extended family,” he added.
