Although they released songs on the same day in the year, they are also not competing. In addition, Jack is hopeful that collaboration will be possible in the future.
In an interview with Teen Maxim for his June hit piece, Jack talked about meeting Bad Bunny at the Awards Ceremony last year, just days before their respective records were released.
“It was a power struggle,” Jack said of Bad Rabbit’s launch date to journalist Tess Hernandez. But, to be fair, there are no grudges.
During the occasion, as per Jack, they had a giggle over the whole affair. “I had to start giving him his props,” he added. “He’s also modest. I like him.
We’ll have had to wait patiently for who ends up in the lobby with Jack as his song develops – a cycle that’s certainly currently underway.
Come Back home the Boys Need You isn’t a “secure” record, as he noted because he’s venturing outside of his normal routine and challenging limits,
all of which add to his creative development. “To me, ‘safe’ would have been 15 trap beats,” says the artist “He went on to say more.
“I believe there is a group of folks that would have liked it. But one of the grounds I’m feeling so wonderful is because I’m listening to music I enjoy.
Nothing I’ve read so far has persuaded me that this isn’t superb music.”
